For the past 20 years the company has involved its customers in charitable drives for food, clothing and other needed items for such nonprofit groups as The Salvation Army and the local Woman's Shelter. Continuing efforts are underway to have our business customers involved with our own "Help Our Children" charity so that together we may assist our local schools have the finest facilities for the kids in our area.

Our staff have certifications in Tax Preparation and Planning bestowed by the IRS, state licenses in insurance sales, and company personnel are bonded for Notary Public needs; The company has been a member of the Better Business Bureau, a member of the Bullhead City Chamber of Commerce and was a sponsor of an award winning Little League Baseball Team in Bullhead City, Arizona; the professional experience of the founder of the company goes back over 40 plus years in the business and corporate world. Experiences in Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Production, General Management and Customer Services have been the foundation of Mr. Shapiro's experience. Since attaining degrees at UNLV Las Vegas in Public Accounting and the degree of Master of Science Taxation Accountancy, he has run his company on the precept that compliance in taxes is just a beginning; planning ahead to pay the lowest amount of taxes possible, like the biggest corporations do as well as the richest Americans do, is the key to anyone's PERSONAL FINANCIAL SUCCESS.

Our Company's History

Twenty years ago Gary Shapiro started a business services and tax preparation company named Southwest Business Associates. Over the years, a number of company divisions came into being with the addition of local professionals joining the team. Accu Tax & Financial Matters was launched in 2005 to specifically serve the commercial tax preparation and financial services markets and with the addition of major insurance agency contracts signed in 2007, one newly named company came into being:
